Prof. Dr. Matej David (full professor in maritime studies) and Dr. Stephan Gollasch (marine biologist) conduct scientific studies in the field of ballast water issues and their management for >20 years, and merged their shipping and biological backgrounds under the GCDC (Gollasch Consult & David Consult) umbrella.

GCDC team brings together ballast water sampling experience achieved during many scientific studies and >15 years with >160 shipboard performance tests of more than 20 different BWMS, during which >1350 samples were taken and processed all around the world.

BWMS COMMISSIONING TESTING
in accordance with IMO BWM.2/Circ.70/Rev.1 and possible additional flag State requirements. GCDC is DNV certified and may conduct Commissioning tests also under other Recognised Organisations/Class Societies. David Consult can relatively easy reach ports and shipyards along the Adriatic Sea, or reach other more remote locations, e.g., have already conducted Commissioning Tests in Turkey, Netherlands and France. Gollasch Consulting has in close reach all ports and shipyards in northern Germany, and in relatively fast reach are all ports and shipyards in Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and in western Poland.

BWMS TYPE APPROVAL SHIPBOARD TESTING
GCDC may conduct IMO Type Approval testing independently or as sub-laboratories of the Control Union Certifications and Lloyd's Register EMEA Independent Laboratories for USCG Type Approval testing according to 46 CFR 162.060 (https://cgmix.uscg.mil/EQLabs/EQLabsSearch.aspx as sub laboratory Matej David). We may conduct Type Approval shipboard tests practically in any part of the world.

BASIC and FINAL APPROVAL DOSSIERS for G9 BWMS TESTING
GCDC conduct research on G9 BWMS developments and GESAMP-BWWG methodology (see research reports and/or publications at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Matej_David), and as GESAMP-BWWG experts and former group members prepare Basic and Final Approval dossiers.

COMPLIANCE MONITORING DEVICES TESTING
